Flyer for Community Education Class

Having your first baby? Take a class to prepare!

Are you expecting your first child? Have you been busy working on your career and now realize that you know nothing about babies? This class is taught by an experienced mother of two who wished that she could have had this same advice before her first child was born.

Topics covered include:
getting mom and dad emotionally ready for a baby,
setting expectations for both sets of grandparents,
and many practical tips including
choosing baby gear,
preparing for the first month with the new baby,
finding a pediatrician,
car seat safety,
and how to handle colic.

Couples are encouraged to come together.

Classes will be held at Mandarin Middle School for 6 weeks on Thursday nights from 6:30 p.m. – 8 p.m. on January 15, 22, 29, Feb 5, 12, and 19, 2009.

Register in person for the class on January 6th, 7th, and 8th from 4:30 p.m. – 7 p.m. at Mandarin Middle School, 5100 Hood Rd, 32257.

Publicizing my class for future mommies

I'm all set to teach a community education class based on my book, What You Need to Know Before the Baby Comes. I'll post the publicity flyer in this blog separately.

Last Thursday, I dropped off about 8 brightly colored flyers at 3 different OB/GYN offices in the area around the place where the classes will be held. The receptionist at each place said that she would give them to the office manager in order to be displayed in the office.

Today, I followed up with each office and was unable to speak to the office manager and left messages.
